Leadership, Motivation and Accountability
Crossing from very senior technical staff to actual leader.

What the course is
A highly interactive two-day course on what makes a good leader, how to motivate other people, and how to create an environment of accountability that produces high performance. It examines the traits, characteristics and styles of successful managers and leaders that can genuinely be learned and practiced, and it is equally direct about why people in leadership positions fail. It then works through the communication tools and techniques that raise performance accountability, self-awareness, innovation and commitment through empowerment and ownership.
Maps to Achieving Results under the current framework (Operational Mindset, Innovation) and to Leading People (Accountability, Developing Others).
Before the first day
A self-paced version (LEAD9020SP, 12 hours) is available. This course is not currently on the GSA Schedule, so a contracting office ordering under FAR Subpart 8.4 should ask us about the open-market route or a closely equivalent scheduled course.

How to buy it
Buying it through a contract
This course is not currently on the GSA Schedule. It is still straightforward to buy: an SF-182 covers an individual seat, and for a class we quote a flat private-class rate. If your contracting office needs a scheduled line item, ask us and we will point you at the closest equivalent on 47QRAA24D004K.
We would rather tell you this up front than have a contracting officer find it at the end of the process.
